About

My name is David Funes. I'm a freelance music composer, flutist and producer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My main focus is on incidental music, with a speciality in videogame music.

Currently I am finishing my studies at ORT Institute in Sound Technology and music production.

My musical tastes include a wide variety of musical genres and styles, from K-Pop and Nu-Disco to Power Metal and orchestral arrangements. At the moment I’m really interested in academic music, especially from romanticism and impressionism periods. Ravel, Fauré and Tchaikovsky are a few of my favourite composers.

The genres I especialize are traditional folk music from Scandinavia, Ireland and Japan, Heavy Metal, and Jazz Fusion. Still, I am not closed to these genres and I always look forward to new challenges so I can grow up as a composer and stay at the vanguard.

If I had to name few of my favourite composers, those would be ZUN, Takayuki Negishi, Joe Hisaishi, Mariya Takeuchi and Vratyas Vakyas (Falkenbach).

If I am neither working nor studying, you can most likely find me playing Rainbow Six: Siege, reading some visual novels or drinking some craftbeer (Cream stout is my favourite) with friends at our local irish pub.

I hope we can work together soon on your project!

David
